The only articles that can be brought to the jail by family or friends are: money and one set of clean clothes.Visitors must have picture identification.Official visitors (lawyers, clergy, police officials, etc.) are permitted to visit an inmate during any reasonable time of the day, excluding meal time and sleeping hours.No one under the age of 18 will be allowed in the jail unless accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. ![]() ![]() In order to provide visitation for all, non-contact visits are limited to 30 minutes for each inmate, a total of two people per inmate.Efforts will be made to communicate that to visitors. Occasionally inmates will be placed on special status and will have a different schedule than above. Thanksgiving Day will default to a standard Thursday visiting day. Visiting hours are 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM for male inmates and 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM for female inmates on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Easter. Order will be maintained through effective management, a clean facility, and justice based programs that are administered in a cost-effective manner to provide the highest degree of public safety for Carlton County citizens.
